French President Nicolas Sarkozy Hacked on Facebook

with 4 comments

Think you have a great Facebook password? Let’s hope so!

The website of French daily 20 Minutes reports that the president’s Official facebook page had been hacked Sunday evening (1/23/2010). The intruder posted a bogus message from Sarkozy announcing he had decided not to run for re-election in 2012. President Sarkozy said the announcement was “a little hasty,” as he has not yet decided whether to seek a second term.

President Sarkozy took the incident in stride, saying it had happened “perhaps to remind me that no system is infallible.” He jokingly used the opportunity to poke fun at the many spelling and punctuation mistakes in the fake message.
